I have begun  a series of paintings with uplifting one word messages in them.   I have felt a need for awhile now that I should

pour these reminders into people lives visually.  I have completed Love, Joy, and Peace so far.  In fact, I did hold a survey/drawing

on Facebook for ideas that closes on May 4th, 2018.   The winner gets a free print!  I am still looking for input on meaningful one word

messages.  If you have a favorite send me a note.

Do you think of your mother when you see a red rose in May?  I do!  Any other month I think of the one who loves me.

But May is different.  Why is that?

I had a sweet, caring, happy, and nurturing mother.  She was very domestic and seemed happy doing all her tasks.  She was

definitely in her element and her happy place, her home.  I'm sure at some point she got tired of laundry, cooking, house cleaning,

making beds, and such.  But very rarely did she ever express her boredom nor her weariness of the tasks.  In a way I think a 

mother of this caliber should be called "Superwoman" or at least some kind of hero.  Who else cleans up and takes are of you

when you are sick, hungry, dirty, emotionally falling apart, or in some way needy but  Superwoman!   But I am sad to admit

that is what I expected out of her because she always did it.  Just being honest.

My mother no longer is on this Earth, but in her heavenly home.  I have to say I miss her.  She still is here in some ways.

I see her in my sister and sometimes in myself.  Her influences, her recipes and the way she cooked, little expressions she had and

now I have, and many other ways.  

Mother's day is just around the corner.  Think about making her feel special and loved.  She is special like the red rose.  A rare

beauty!
