Today I was thinking how our children watch us even when we are unaware of them doing so.  Reality hits us when they

mimic a gesture or phrase. Sometimes this can be a good thing, sometimes a bad thing.  I am personally encouraged when a

children wants to mimic artists.  I have so much enjoyment when a child comes up to my easel, wide eyed in awe of the

process taking place.  Several times I have asked the child if they want to paint on my painting.  Usually they do!  

I believe that we need to encourage all children to create, draw outside the lines, and enjoy art!  It is there in us all waiting 

to be explored.
